Radio Interview at "Dans la mosaïque"

Wednesday, March 27th, 2024,  our Founder and President, Suzanne Caron, was featured in the French radio of Radio-Canada Toronto for the program "Dans la mosaïque". She was there to give an interview for music therapy awareness month. We are proud to share this interview!

Hay Doun - Wellbeing Workshops through the Arts, with Music Therapy
January 13, 2024

Saturday January 13th, 2024, a music therapy discovery workshop was held at Family Support Services Hay Doun , in collaboration with the Institute.  Children and their parents participated in a variety of musical activities, guided by Maryse Trottier, certified music therapist.  Whether playing quiet music, expressing themselves with energy using drums and other percussion instruments, or composing a song together, the participants shared moments of relaxation, interactions and fun, thanks to the music.

A festive concert with les Impatients

On Monday December 4th, the Choir from Les Impatients performed their Christmas concert at the National Music Therapy Institute, proudly sharing their joy of singing with their friends and families.  The Institute was happy to host this event, regrouping about 50 people happy to share this magical moment together.

AQM - Toning workshop, with Shelley Snow
November 14, 2023

Friday November 10th 2023, 16 music therapists got together at the Institute to benefit from the 75-minutes Toning Workshop organized by the Association Québécoise de Musicothérapie (AQM), facilitated by Shelley Snow, PhD, MTA.  After the workshop, snacks were served and participants stayed for at least another hour, to take advantage of the sharing and socialisation opportunity.  Congratulations to the AQM for this nice initiative!

Thank you letter from Autisme Montréal
November 09, 2023

From July 2020 until August 2023, a pilot project developed in partnership with Autisme Montreal gave us the opportunity to offer more than 900 individual music therapy sessions, online or in person, to children, teenagers and adults with an autism specter disorder (ASD).  We are pleased to share the letter of appreciation (in French) that was sent to us this week by the upper management of Autisme Montreal.
