Introductory Training (GIM Level 1) - The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (English)
December 16, 2025

The Bonny Method in Music and Guided Imagery (GIM), Level I training, will be offered at the National Music Therapy Institute, by Eastern Canada GIM. This intensive 5-day training is intended for professionals working in music therapy, music, counselling, creative arts therapies, and related health care professions. It will be conducted in English, from May 2 to 6, 2026 (Saturday-Wednesday).

Documentary "J'ai souvenir encore" - Alzheimer's disease, Music and Music Therapy

“J’ai souvenir encore” — a sensitive and deeply human documentary that highlights the very real impact of music for people living with Alzheimer’s disease. Broadcasted on the television of Radio-Canada on December 2nd, it is now available on the online platform of ici.tou.tv.

Seeing music therapists like Stéphane Supervielle help the profession shine and demonstrate, day after day, the importance of music therapy within our healthcare system is both inspiring and full of hope.

Congratulations to the research teams, healthcare professionals, and everyone who is advancing knowledge and raising awareness about the essential role music therapy, a message at the center of the National Music Therapy Institute's mission!

Atelier percussions - annonce bilingue
Percussion Workshop for Music Therapists (MTA): Registration is open!

The Institute is proud to offer a percussion workshop for music therapists, in collaboration with Baratanga, Sunday January 18, 2026, 13:00-16:00. Led by Louis-Daniel Joly, this training provides a unique opportunity to integrate or deepen the use of percussion instruments in clinical settings with diverse client populations. Limited places are available: don’t wait to register for this bilingual workshop, offering continuing education credits.
