What we do

A welcoming center and forum for new music therapy projects.

We are committed to fostering new services and initiatives.

The Institute is more than just a physical space. It provides a welcoming forum for music therapists and other professionals to come together to meet, discuss and develop project ideas. It provides critical support from our Board of Directors and other members of our team, who can share their business experience, knowledge and extensive network of contacts to push ideas further. And while we don’t provide subsidies or grants, we can help with some or all of the costs of turning an idea into reality, depending on the project.

Do you have a project proposal?

The Institute encourages new initiatives targeting under-served populations or exploring new avenues. We work in partnership with motivated individuals to develop new programs, and with private businesses, community organizations and associations to offer music therapy services to their members. This gives them the chance to discover the benefits of music therapy first-hand, leading the way to more accessibility to such services in the future.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • a music therapist, currently working with the Institute or interested in doing so
    • please include your resumé with your proposal submission form
  • not a music therapist, but interested in exploring a project with a music therapist from the Institute
    • if you have not yet confirmed who that  music therapist would be, you can still submit your proposal but recruitment will need to take place before we can complete the evaluation

Once you have emailed us your submission and any necessary additional documents, we will review your proposal and reach out to discuss next steps.
